Indian Army conducts medical awareness and wellness camp for remote Ladakh village

LEH, July 4, 2026 — The Indian Army organized a comprehensive medical awareness and wellness camp for approximately 50 villagers, including women and children, in a remote village of Ladakh. The community outreach initiative focused on raising awareness about common lifestyle conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and dental health.

Medical teams emphasized the importance of maintaining balanced nutrition, engaging in regular physical activity, undergoing timely health screenings, and adopting preventive healthcare practices to ensure long-term well-being.The wellness camp featured dedicated interactive sessions specifically tailored to women’s and children’s health and hygiene requirements.

Additionally, a guided yoga session was conducted to highlight the benefits of physical and mental wellness, reinforcing the core principles of healthy living. The successful initiative further strengthens the long-standing and enduring bond between the Indian Army and the local communities of Ladakh through continuous support, care, and dedicated public service.
