Deputy Inspector General Shridhar Patil reviews security for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra at Bhagwati Nagar base camp

JAMMU, June 28, 2026:- Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shridhar Patil, alongside Deputy Inspector General of Police for Security, Rashmi Wazir, and Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, Joginder Singh, conducted a comprehensive review of the security arrangements at the Bhagwati Nagar base camp and the Tawi River Front.

The joint high-level inspection was organized alongside zonal officers and senior representatives from the police, civil administration, and allied agencies to strengthen safety measures for the upcoming Shri Amarnath ji Yatra.

During the visit, the senior officers thoroughly inspected the area’s security grid, access control systems, surveillance measures, traffic regulations, deployment plans, and emergency response mechanisms.

The leadership evaluated the available transit facilities for the arriving pilgrims and emphasized the absolute necessity of seamless inter-agency coordination to ensure a safe, secure, and smooth pilgrimage, instructing all deployed personnel to remain vigilant and maintain foolproof arrangements throughout the Yatra.
