Sarvesh Anil Kushare sets historic national high jump record

LUCKNOW, June 28, 2026 :- The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command, Anindya Sengupta, congratulated Olympian Sarvesh Anil Kushare of the Panchshul Gunners for creating history at the Senior National Athletics Championships.

Kushare became the first Indian athlete to clear a height of 2.31 meters in the high jump event, breaking the long-standing national barrier of 2.30 meters for the very first time.The military leadership hailed the achievement as a monumental milestone that reflects a spirit of excellence and perseverance.

This record-breaking performance highlights the ongoing commitment of the Indian Army to nurturing top-tier athletic talent and achieving sporting excellence on both national and international stages.
