Lt Gen VMB Krishnan Visits Shillong 101 Area HQ to Review Army Operational Preparedness
SHILLONG June 13,2026: Lieutenant General VMB Krishnan, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Eastern Command, visited the Headquarters 101 Area in Shillong to comprehensively review the operational and administrative preparedness of the formation.
During his visit, the Army Commander thoroughly assessed the strategic readiness and logistics infrastructure of the region. Expressing high satisfaction with the overall state of readiness, Lt Gen Krishnan commended the formation for maintaining an exceptionally high level of morale, professionalism, and steadfastness.
He further lauded their successful adoption of innovative practices, emphasizing that such modern initiatives are crucial for significantly enhancing the Army’s overall operational efficiency in the Eastern sector.
