Assam Rifles and Zokhawthar Police Seize Heroin Worth 1.4 Crore in Mizoram

ZOKHAWTHAR, May 14, 2026 — Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, successfully recovered a significant shipment of illegal narcotics during a joint operation with the Zokhawthar Police in Mizoram.

The security forces seized 15 hongs of heroin, weighing approximately 186 grams, which has an estimated market value of 1.4 crore.

This successful recovery highlights the ongoing efforts of security agencies to curb the smuggling of prohibited substances and dismantle drug trafficking networks active along the border regions.
