DG Assam Rifles Visits Wular battalion in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar May 12, 2026 :- Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, visited Wular Battalion of Assam Rifles at Paribal, Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit, he was briefed by the Commandant on the Battalion’s operational preparedness, prevailing security environment and ongoing initiatives.
The Director General also interacted with officers and troops, visited the Battalion Drone Lab and Malangam COB and lauded all ranks for their professionalism, operational readiness and unwavering commitment towards safeguarding the region.
