Joseph Vijay visits CPIM headquarters after party extends support for TVK government
CHENNAI, May 08 — Following the official announcement of support for the formation of a Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam government, TVK President Joseph Vijay visited the CPIM state committee office today to express his gratitude.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Politburo member K. Balakrishnan and State Secretary P. Shanmugam, who welcomed the leader with floral bouquets.
The visit marks a significant moment of political coordination in the state following the recent assembly election results.
During the visit, Joseph Vijay met with several senior leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), including Politburo member U. Vasuki and Central Committee members P. Sampath, N. Gunasekaran, and K. Balabharathi.
He also engaged with All India Control Commission Chairman G. Ramakrishnan, veteran leader T. K. Rangarajan, and MLA R. Sellasamy, along with other members of the state executive and state committees.
The interaction focused on mutual appreciation for upholding the democratic mandate in Tamil Nadu.The TVK leader was accompanied by a delegation of party officials, including Bussy Anand, K. A. Sengottaiyan, Aadhav Arjuna, and Venkatraman.
This meeting solidifies the working relationship between the two parties after the CPIM resolved to back the TVK from the outside to ensure political stability and prevent federal overreach.
The leaders discussed the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the aspirations of the people and maintaining the constitutional integrity of the state.
