LG Flags Off 24th Pracheen Marg Pavitra Chhari Yatra from Kol Kandoli Temple
Jammu March 22, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha officially flagged off the 24th Mata Vaishno Devi Pracheen Marg Pavitra Chhari Yatra from the historic Kol Kandoli Temple in Nagrota this Sunday.
Commencing the spiritual journey, the Lieutenant Governor participated in the “Pratham Pooja” and paid obeisance at the ancient shrine, offering prayers for the peace, prosperity, and collective well-being of the region.
During the event, he interacted with a large gathering of devotees, extending his warmest greetings for the auspicious pilgrimage. Carrying the sacred Holy Jyot, the procession set out along the traditional heritage route, destined for the Oli Mata Temple in Bamyal.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Devyani Rana, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Nagrota, along with members of the Mata Vaishno Devi Pracheen Marg Shrines Sanstha and various senior officials.
The event saw a massive turnout of pilgrims and prominent citizens, all gathered to witness the start of this significant cultural and religious trek.
The Pracheen Marg, or the “Ancient Route,” continues to be a point of deep spiritual resonance for the local community, symbolizing the rich heritage of the Jammu region.
