LG Manoj Sinha Thanks PM Modi for ₹111.66 Crore Fisheries Development Grant for J&K
JAMMU, MARCH 21: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha expressed his profound gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, following the release of the central share of ₹111.66 crore dedicated to the fisheries development project in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to social media platform X, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted that an initial “mother sanction” of ₹10 crore has already been released for the current financial year. He noted that the Government of India has assured the further release of the remaining central share once the initial funds are utilized.
Emphasizing the administration’s priority, the LG reaffirmed that the central government remains fully committed to enhancing the livelihoods and ensuring the overall welfare of the fish farming community across the Union Territory.
