Rifleman Pushpendra Wins Three Medals at 25th National Para Swimming Championships
GUWAHATI, March 19, 2026 — Rifleman Pushpendra of the Spear Corps’ Dao Division has scripted a historic chapter in para-sports by securing three medals at the 25th National Para Swimming Championships 2025–26.
Demonstrating extraordinary resilience, Pushpendra clinched a Silver medal in the 100m Freestyle, followed by two Bronze medals in the 50m Freestyle and the 400m Medley. This remarkable achievement marks a triumphant return to competitive excellence for the soldier, who overcame life-altering challenges after losing his hand in a grievous injury sustained in 2023.Pushpendra’s success at the national level serves as a powerful testament to the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army and the Spear Corps.
