Deputy Chief Minister Boosts Rajouri Infrastructure: Foundation Stones Laid for Multiple PMGSY Road Projects
RAJOURI, March 15, 2026 — Underscoring the government’s priority to enhance rural connectivity, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today launched a series of road infrastructure projects across the Nowshera constituency.
During a high-profile visit, the Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a critical 4.0-kilometer link road from Auto Stand Kheri to Masjid Potha East in Block Seri, sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹927.62 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
Additionally, foundation stones were laid for two other vital routes—Dwaka to High School Moh Potha and Gania to Patli—to streamline access to essential services for local residents. Beyond the ceremonies, Choudhary conducted extensive public outreach programs in Nowshera and Gania, listening to grievances ranging from water scarcity to the need for community halls and sports stadiums.
Reaffirming a “people-first” governance model, he directed district officials to ensure that future development plans are drafted in direct consultation with local communities to reflect their genuine priorities and ensure time-bound redressal of all pending issues.
