Srinagar, Aug 25: Police on Monday recovered an old, rusted hand grenade from a garbage dump at Iqbal Colony in Safakadal area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar. “The grenade was spotted in a heap of garbage at Iqbal Colony.
The officer further said that prima facie it appears to be an old, rusted grenade and has been taken into possession for further examination.
Cognizance of the matter has been taken and further investigation initiated.
