JAMMU/KATHUA, 24 AUGUST :- Persistent heavy rainfall has plunged parts of the Jammu region into a flood-like situation.
A critical bridge over the Sahar Khad river on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Kathua has been damaged, severely disrupting traffic. In Jammu city, low-lying areas like Bhawani Nagar and Kabir Colony are waterlogged, with streets submerged and drains overflowing.
Authorities are assessing the damage and have advised residents to exercise caution as the rains continue.
