IMPHAL, Jan 27: In a major blow to insurgent activities, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, operating under the Spear Corps, successfully conducted a series of intelligence-based joint operations across Manipur.
Executed in close coordination with the Manipur Police between January 16 and January 24, 2026, the crackdown targeted both hill and valley districts, specifically focusing on Thoubal, Bishnupur, Imphal East, and Imphal West.
The week-long intensified mission resulted in the apprehension of 11 cadres and the recovery of a significant cache of hardware, including 46 weapons, various explosives, and other war-like stores.
These synchronized operations highlight the persistent commitment of the security forces to restore normalcy and ensure regional stability by dismantling illicit armed networks.
