J&K BJP Marks 77th Republic Day with Massive Flag Hoisting Drive Across Union Territory
JAMMU, January 26, 2026 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir celebrated India’s 77th Republic Day with immense patriotic zeal, organizing flag-hoisting ceremonies at party offices, public squares, and prominent localities throughout the Union Territory.
The festivities were marked by the distribution of sweets and the chanting of patriotic slogans, reflecting a collective commitment to national pride. At the party’s Trikuta Nagar headquarters, BJP J&K President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma led the celebrations by unfurling the National Flag alongside General Secretary Organization Ashok Koul and a host of senior leaders including Baldev Singh Billawaria, Gopal Mahajan, Vikram Randhawa, and Naresh Singh Jasrotia.
Simultaneous ceremonies were held at key locations across Jammu to honor the constitutional milestone. At the Kachi Chawni party office, MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, MLA Arvind Gupta, and Rajesh Gupta led the proceedings, while at the historic City Chowk, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and MLA Yudhvir Sethi hoisted the tricolour.
Addressing the party workers, Sat Sharma hailed India as the world’s most vibrant democracy and emphasized that the Constitution serves as a roadmap for duty and national responsibility. He urged citizens to contribute toward a self-reliant India while drawing inspiration from the sacrifices of national icons like Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh.
Reinforcing the party’s mission, Ashok Koul called upon the public to reaffirm their faith in the values of justice, liberty, and equality. He stressed the importance of instilling a “nation-first” mindset among the younger generation to ensure the long-term sovereignty and unity of the country. The event concluded with a collective pledge by party leaders and workers to work relentlessly for the development and cultural heritage of the region, ensuring that the spirit of the Republic reaches every household in Jammu and Kashmir.
