J&K Sant Samaj Nyas Convenes Major Meeting in Jammu to Address Religious and Social Challenges

JAMMU: 05 Jan 2026The Jammu & Kashmir Sant Samaj Nyas held a high-level meeting at the Baba Shri Krishna Giri Samadhi today, under the guidance of Mahant Shri Shanti Giri Ji Maharaj, to deliberate on pressing issues facing saints and religious institutions across the region.

Organized and coordinated by Mahant Shri Rajesh Bittu Ji, the gathering featured in-depth discussions with administrative officers from Jammu, Udhampur, and Kathua districts to seek practical solutions for local grievances.

In a move to streamline outreach, Mahant Shri Mohan Giri Ji was tasked with leading formal representations to the government, while several independent committees were formed to address localized concerns.

Highlighting the organization’s expansion, the meeting saw the induction of Shri Sai Dass Shastri as Mantri and Shri Shudh Kirti Ji as Treasurer, alongside an announcement that the Sant Samaj will assume a more proactive role in social and administrative affairs.

The event, which included a community Bhandara and blessings from prominent spiritual leaders, concluded with a unanimous pledge to strengthen unity and collective action to safeguard the interests of the religious community in Jammu and Kashmir.
