Minister Satish Sharma Greets Public on Prakash Purb of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji; Calls for Unity and Service
JAMMU, JANUARY 04, 2026: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, and Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma, today extended his heartfelt greetings to the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir and the global Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of the Prakash Purb of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Paying glowing tributes to the tenth Sikh Guru, the Minister described him as a visionary reformer and a spiritual luminary whose life as a “Saint-Soldier” serves as an eternal inspiration.
He emphasized that the Guru’s teachings on courage, sacrifice, and compassion remain a guiding force for humanity to uphold the values of truth, justice, and selfless service in an ever-changing world.
In his commemorative message, Minister Sharma urged the public, particularly the youth, to draw strength from the Guru’s legacy by embracing discipline and standing firmly against injustice. He highlighted that the ideals of righteousness and equality championed by Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji are essential for fostering a progressive and inclusive society.
