Advanced Courses on Counter-Insurgency and Intellectual Property Rights Conclude at SK Police Academy Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 24, 2025: Two specialized training programs focusing on “Terrorism/Counter-Insurgency” and “Intellectual Property Rights” successfully concluded today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur (SKPAU) with a high-level knowledge-sharing session.

The valedictory ceremony was led by Deputy Director SKPAU, Benam Tosh, who served as the chief guest. During his address, Tosh emphasized the critical need for determined police action to eradicate terrorism and organized crime, subsequently presenting certificates to the participants in the presence of course directors Nasser Mehmood Naik and Vikas Manhas.

The training sessions featured a prestigious panel of experts, including Savita Nayyar and Ranjan Sharma from the University of Jammu, Vishal Sharma from Government MAM College Jammu, and High Court Advocate Supriya Chouhan. Additional specialized training was provided by Senior Prosecuting Officer Amit Prakash Sehgal and senior experts from the Cyber Police Station Jammu.

Over the three-day period from December 22 to December 24, a total of 32 police officers—ranging in rank from Sub-Inspector to Superintendent of Police—attended intensive lessons covering radicalization, internal security threats, bio-warfare, and the legal complexities of intellectual property.

The participating officers from various wings and districts of Jammu and Kashmir concluded the program by reiterating their commitment to neutralizing anti-national and anti-social elements with renewed vigor and professional expertise.
