KVIB Dy CEO reviews implementation of PM’s Employment Generation Programme in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 20: A meeting to review the progress and implementation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) was convened today by J&K KVIB Udhampur.The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Jammu Division and attended by the Lead District Manager, Director RSETI and branch heads of the banks operating in the district.

Detailed discussions were held on the status of cases sanctioned and disbursed under the twin schemes. The chair reviewed bank-wise performance and highlighted the need for timely processing and disposal of loan applications. Issues related to documentation, credit linkage and coordination among stakeholders were also discussed.

Emphasis was laid on strengthening coordination between banks and implementing agencies to ensure effective implementation of the schemes and to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth.The chair urged the bank officials to work proactively to achieve the targets and support beneficiaries in a timely manner for overall economic development and employment generation in the district.
