Vibrant Pingla Mata Akhand Jyoti procession paints Udhampur in spiritual hues

UDHAMPUR, JULY 15: The 20th Pingla Mata Akhand Jyoti Shobha Yatra was taken out today in Udhampur town with great religious fervour and enthusiasm, ahead of the annual pilgrimage to the Pingla Mata Cave Shrine. Organized by the Adi Shakti Sewak Sanstha, the grand religious procession drew a large number of devotees who chanted hymns and devotional songs, filling the town with spiritual energy.

Led by Swami Divyanand Puri Maharaj Shahpurkandi Wale, the yatra commenced from Pandav Mandir and passed through major areas including Hospital Road, Sailan Talab, Chabutra Bazaar, Main Bazaar, Gole Market, Mukherjee Bazaar, Ramnagar Chowk, and Salathia Chowk before returning to its starting point.

Beautifully decorated tableaux depicting different incarnations of Goddess Durga served as the main attraction of the procession.Earlier in the day, a Havan Yagna was performed at Pandav Mandir, followed by a community kitchen service for the devotees. Swami Divyanand Puri Maharaj delivered a religious discourse emphasizing spiritual values, devotion, and the preservation of the rich cultural and religious traditions associated with Pingla Mata.

MLA Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta attended the event and appreciated the organizers for keeping these age-old traditions alive. He noted that such spiritual events play a crucial role in positively engaging the youth, keeping them away from social evils like drug abuse, and guiding them toward strong moral values to build a drug-free society.Ashok Gupta, President of the Adi Shakti Sewak Sanstha, announced that the sacred Akhand Jyoti and Trident will be carried to the Pingla Mata Cave Shrine on July 16.

To assist the pilgrims, the organization has arranged dedicated bus services from Udhampur to the shrine, alongside free community kitchen facilities at the pilgrimage site. The event saw participation from MLA Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, the President of Beopar Mandal, members of the Mahila Wing, and various other community representatives and devotees.
