New married accommodation for senior sailors inaugurated at Karwar Naval Base

KARWAR, MAY 28, 2026 :- Vice Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, Director General Project Seabird, inaugurated 60 dwelling units of married accommodation for senior sailors at the Karwar Naval Base.

The newly constructed residential units are aimed at providing modern and comfortable housing facilities for the naval personnel stationed at the base.

Developed under Phase IIA of Project Seabird, the new infrastructure reinforces the commitment of the Indian Navy to personnel welfare, quality of life, and comprehensive family support.

This addition is part of the ongoing mega-expansion of the naval base, which seeks to enhance both operational capabilities and living standards for the force.
