Manoj Sinha launches digital edition of Madan Mohan Malaviya collected works in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, June 13, 2026 :- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the launch ceremony of the e-edition of the collected works of revered nationalist, educationist, and social reformer Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in Srinagar.

The Lieutenant Governor commended the monumental efforts of the Mahamana Malaviya Mission, expressing confidence that the digital initiative will ensure seamless, universal access to Malaviya’s timeless wisdom given the widespread availability of digital content in today’s era.

Speaking on the theme of a developed India and the relevance of this vision to Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha highlighted the foundational contributions made toward building a self-reliant nation, noting that Malaviya forged new avenues for the country’s future through immense personal sacrifice.

During his address, the Lieutenant Governor noted that as early as 1904, Malaviya had envisioned a comprehensive curriculum combining modern engineering, industrial machinery manufacturing, chemical sciences, and agricultural research with indigenous handicrafts, handloom skills, and India’s cultural-spiritual heritage.

Sinha observed that 122 years later, the nation is giving concrete shape to these ideas through the National Education Policy. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is leading the country in implementing this forward-looking vision to strengthen the nation through skill-based education aligned with modern industrial demands.

Sinha stated that a historic industrial revolution, catalyzed by the 2021 New Industrial Policy, has resulted in an influx of investments over the past four years that surpasses the cumulative industrial investments of the preceding seven decades. Aligning with Malaviya’s core principles of national unity, social harmony, and women-led development, Jammu and Kashmir has undergone a profound societal transformation.

To sustain this momentum, the Lieutenant Governor called upon the youth to commit to five core pillars of growth: continuous mastery of knowledge aligned with evolving industrial needs, personal integrity, an entrepreneurial mindset, active community service, and the promotion of national unity.

The launch event was attended by Prabhu Narain Srivastava, Kamal Nain Rai, and Hari Shankar Singh from the Mahamana Malaviya Mission. Also present were University of Jammu Vice Chancellor Umesh Rai, University of Kashmir Vice Chancellor Nilofer Khan, Central University of Kashmir Vice Chancellor A. Ravinder Nath, along with faculty members and senior officers from the police and civil administration.
