Srinagar 15th August :- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was called up by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday regarding the cloudburst in Chishoti, Paddar, which falls under Kishtwar district. The PM was briefed by Abdullah on the ground situation and the relief operations being implemented by the local administration during the call.
Going to social media site X, Chief Minister said, “I just received the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sb. I informed him about the situation in Kishtwar & steps taken by the administration.” He added that he appreciated the Centre’s support, saying, “My government & people affected by this tragic cloudburst are thankful for his support & all the help given by the Union Government.” The incident has left an extensive amount of damage in the area, triggering immediate rescue and relief work by state and central authorities.
