Udhampur Prepares for 3rd National Lok Adalat 2026 with Strategic Focus on Mediation 3.0 Implementation
UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 08, 2026 — In a major push toward streamlining alternative dispute resolution and tackling case backlog, key judicial authorities in Udhampur gathered on Saturday to finalize preparations for the upcoming 3rd National Lok Adalat of 2026 and accelerate the local rollout of the Mediation 3.0 initiative.
The comprehensive review session, held at the Office Chambers of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, was presided over by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Chairperson Kalpana Revo, alongside DLSA Secretary Sumati Sharma. Judicial officers stationed across the district headquarters attended the meeting in person, while officers operating out of remote Tehsil headquarters joined the proceedings via video conference to align administrative and judicial strategies across all court tiers.
Central to the deliberations was a detailed evaluation of case identification standards and pre-litigation selection procedures aimed at maximizing settlement rates. Revo directed judicial officers and legal personnel to enhance inter-agency communication, instructing court administration, DLSA staff, panel advocates, and local government officials to establish a synchronized framework for managing caseloads efficiently ahead of the Lok Adalat.
Beyond traditional Lok Adalat mechanisms, the meeting placed heavy emphasis on the operational deployment of Mediation 3.0.
