Amit Shah assures full support as NDRF teams rushed to Kishtwar following devastating cloudburst

New Delhi, 14th August :- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on friday said he has talked to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha  and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah about the deadly cloudburst in Kishtwar district, which caused widespread devastation and loss of life. Shah gave an assurance that the Central government is keeping a close watch on the situation and has deployed National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams  for relief and rescue operations at the earliest.

                On X (formerly Twitter), Shah said, “Spoke with the LG and Chief Minister of J&K regarding the cloudburst in Kishtwar district. Relief and rescue work is being done by the local administration. NDRF teams have been quickly rushed to the spot. Keeping a close eye on the situation and standing steadfast with the people of Jammu and Kashmir through each moment. Ensured all possible support to the people in distress.”

            The Home Minister’s prompt response reflects the central government’s commitment to disaster management in the region.

In the meantime, the J&K administration has organized emergency helplines and relief camps for the affected families.
