Steeled by Challenge: Indian Navy’s Elite Clearance and Ship Diver Officers Graduate from Diving School

NEW DELHI, — JULY 18, 2026 :- Marking the successful culmination of months of grueling, high-intensity training, a new cohort of elite maritime specialists officially graduated today as the Clearance Diver Officers (CDO) Course and Ship Diver (SD) Course passed out from the prestigious Diving School. Over a demanding 37-week period, these officers were pushed to their absolute physical and mental limits, testing their endurance, resilience, courage, and technical proficiency under the most unforgiving conditions.

Forged beneath the surface, the graduates mastered advanced naval diving disciplines, including high-stakes Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), combat diving, underwater salvage, and underwater mine warfare. Having successfully conquered one of the Indian Navy’s most grueling and selective professional courses, these newly minted officers are now officially inducted into the elite fraternity of Clearance Divers. Steeled by challenge and prepared to operate in the world’s most hostile maritime environments, they stand fully ready to deploy across the entire spectrum of naval diving operations in service of the Nation.
