Dengue awareness programme organized at CHC Thathri to promote prevention and cleanliness

THATHRI, July 16, 2026:- As part of the ongoing Anti Dengue Month, the Health Department organized a dengue awareness programme at CHC Thathri. The initiative was conducted under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Thathri Dr Shakeel Ahmed Kichloo and guided by Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Vinod Sharma.

The primary objective of the programme was to educate the public on effective dengue prevention, early recognition of symptoms, and the critical need to maintain overall cleanliness to eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites in the region.

During the event, health officials actively educated the participants on key preventive measures, which include avoiding stagnant water accumulation around homes, using mosquito repellents and bed nets, and seeking timely medical care if they experience a fever or other symptoms suggestive of dengue.

The Health Department strongly appealed to the public to support the Anti Dengue Month campaign by maintaining proper sanitation and adopting consistent preventive measures to successfully curb the spread of the disease.
