Assam Civil Service trainees visit Guwahati Airport to study operations and VIP protocol

GUWAHATI, July 16, 2026 – A group of 46 officer trainees from the 2026 batch of the Assam Civil Service recently visited the Guwahati Airport to gain practical, hands-on exposure to daily aviation operations and protocol management.

The educational visit was designed to help the future administrators understand the logistical complexities of managing major transit hubs.During the visit, officials from the Central Industrial Security Force briefed the trainees on the diverse aspects of airport functioning.

The session focused heavily on the importance of inter-agency coordination, handling reception arrangements at both arrival and departure terminals, and implementing strict security procedures for visiting dignitaries and high-profile guests.

The experience provided the upcoming civil service officers with valuable insights into the collaborative efforts required to keep airport operations safe, secure, and seamless. This practical knowledge is expected to assist them throughout their administrative careers when coordinating public transport logistics and official state visits.
