LADAKH — JULY 15, 2026:-  In a dedicated effort to honour the legacy of India’s military heroes, the Indian Army’s Chushul Warriors organized a comprehensive Ex-Servicemen Outreach Programme today for the veteran community residing in the remote villages of Tsaga and Chushul within the rugged, high-altitude Changthang region. Guided by the noble theme “In Service of the Nation,” the initiative sought to directly address the unique challenges faced by retired personnel living in these strategic border areas. The event served as an essential platform to resolve pressing concerns, including pension anomalies and welfare scheme accessibility, while simultaneously providing medical check-ups and administrative support to ensure that those who spent their youth guarding the frontiers continue to be looked after.

“The Indian Army’s commitment to its soldiers does not end with their retirement; it is a lifelong bond of mutual respect and duty.”

Beyond resolving administrative and healthcare grievances, the outreach programme played a pivotal role in reinforcing the deep-rooted civil-military relations that define the Ladakhi frontier. Army representatives engaged closely with the veterans and their families, acknowledging their invaluable historical contributions to safeguarding India’s territorial integrity. By bringing these essential support systems directly to the doorsteps of these remote settlements, the Chushul Warriors successfully reaffirmed the military’s enduring commitment to its veteran fraternity, celebrating their past sacrifices and strengthening the community’s bond with the armed forces.
