Jammu Power Outage Alert: JPDCL Announces Scheduled Shutdowns Across Key Areas
JAMMU, JULY 06 — The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas in Jammu, Kathua, Katra, Kishtwar, and surrounding districts due to essential maintenance work.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu, electricity supply to Khour, Kaleeth, Chack Malal, Dhanger, and adjoining areas will be suspended on July 07 from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. On the same day, Biaspur, Kotli, Kalyana, Sai Kalan, Khana Chak, Abdullian, Nikowal, Salehar, Chakroi, Pindi, Hansa, Satraiyan, Flora, BOP, Tanda, Kirpind, Seed Farm, Paper Mill, Dablehar, Badyal, Chowalla, and neighboring pockets will experience outages from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Residents in Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria, and nearby locations will see power cuts on July 07 between 5:30 AM and 10:30 AM, with specific short-duration disruptions hitting Bathindi, Sunjwan, and adjoining zones from 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM and again from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Furthermore, a wide range of areas including Suhagpur, Arnia, Allah, Chak Shera, Treva, Jabowal, Jabal Kotli, BSF (BOP), Mulay Chak, Kotli Bishnah, Chak Hasla, Rehal, Pandorian, Mehmoodpur, Sarore, Bishnah Hospital, Kheri, Nandpur, Swankha, Adlehar, Baba Chamliyal, Jearda, Ramgarh, Kamore, Rangoor, Abtal, Nanga, Dadyal, S.M Pura, Mahaal, Kunjwai, Bandurakh, Seora, and Shahpur will face a shutdown on July 07 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
In addition, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL O&M Circle Kathua has notified that the power supply to Smailpur and its adjoining areas will remain affected on July 07 and July 08 from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. For commuters and residents in Katra, the Superintending Engineer O&M Circle-III JPDCL Batote confirmed that Katra Road, Niharika, Old Market Katra, and adjacent localities will see daily power suspensions from July 07 to July 09, between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer O&M Circle JPDCL Kishtwar has intimated that Chinta, Naska, Manva, Gathi Morh, Lalan Chakki, and neighboring locations will face outages on July 08, 10, and 12 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while Jagroth, Malani, Pranoo, and Rana Mohalla will experience cuts on July 09 and 11 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
