DC Kulgam Inspects DH Pora Development Works & Rural Schemes
KULGAM JULY 06 :- In a major push for regional infrastructure and transparency, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, conducted an extensive tour of the DH Pora subdivision to inspect ongoing development projects and review the implementation of key rural development schemes. During the visit, the DC evaluated the construction progress of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Office, the Treasury Office, and several other vital public infrastructure initiatives. Emphasizing the critical need for timely completion, Shahzad Alam directed the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of construction while strictly adhering to the highest quality standards, ensuring these essential public assets are delivered within their stipulated timeframes.
Following the infrastructure review, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Block Development Office (BDO) in Pombay to assess the ground-level execution of flagship rural development programmes, with a specific focus on MGNREGA and VB-G RAM-G. Highlighting the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and financial discipline, he mandated strict compliance with prescribed procedures for the disbursement of material payments. Furthermore, the DC ordered concerned officials to conduct regular verifications to ensure that only genuine labourers listed on the official muster rolls are engaged at worksites. Accompanying the Deputy Commissioner during this comprehensive inspection were Chief Planning Officer Malik Suheel, SDM DH Pora Bashir-ul-Hassan, the Executive Engineer of the R&B Department, the Tehsildar of DH Pora, and other senior district and block-level officers.
