Delhi Police arrest wanted Rohit Lamba gang member in Najafgarh case

NEW DELHI, July 4, 2026 — The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police has achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of a wanted member belonging to the notorious Rohit Lamba gang.

The operative had been on the run and was actively evading law enforcement in connection with a high-profile attempt to murder case previously registered at the Najafgarh police station in Delhi.

The suspect managed to avoid capture for an extended period by frequently shifting his hideouts across different locations. However, his run from the law came to an end following an intensive operation driven by sustained surveillance, precise technical intelligence, and swift action on the ground by the field units.

The successful apprehension was executed by the WR-II unit of the Crime Branch. The operation was led by Inspector Gautam Malik, operating under the direct guidance of ACP Rajpal Dabas and the overall supervision of DCP Harsh Indora.
