CRPF organizes human resource programme for students in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, June 25, 2026 :- The 137 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force organized a human resource programme under its civic action initiative at Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 2, Dhar Road, Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. The event aimed to promote youth welfare and build stronger community relations in the region, highlighting the security force’s commitment to social development beyond its standard operational duties.
Several prominent dignitaries attended the function, including Udhampur District Development Commissioner Minga Sherpa, Probationary IAS Officer Shagun Singh, and 137 Battalion Commandant Manoj Kr Sicon. They were joined by Deputy Commandants Raju Lal Meena and Suresh, Assistant Commandants Ashish Kumar and Vishal Kr Chauhan, and Medical Officer Manish Rundla.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 2 Principal Sanwarmal, along with faculty members Anita Yadav, Vijay Kumar, Anuj Sharma, Rajiv Singh, Vikash Sharma, and Vani, also participated in the event.During the programme, essential educational and sports supplies were distributed to the participants.
The distribution included 100 T-shirts, 100 shorts, 100 pairs of shoes, and 100 sets each of notebooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers. Around 300 students from the school, alongside local residents, media representatives, and CRPF personnel, attended the distribution ceremony.
CRPF officials emphasized that such initiatives are vital for nurturing young talent and creating resilient communities, noting that similar drives conducted across Udhampur over recent years have successfully reached thousands of local youths. Local residents appreciated the efforts of the 137 Battalion, requesting that more civic action events be organized in the future to support student welfare. The battalion has consistently maintained this outreach, having organized similar community support events throughout 2024, 2025, and 2026.
