Interstate Lashkar-e-Taiba Terror Module Busted: Pakistani Terrorists Arrested

SRINAGAR, April 07, 2026 — In a major breakthrough for regional security, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with central agencies, have dismantled a deep-rooted interstate Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror module, leading to the arrest of five persons across multiple states.

Among those apprehended is a high-profile terror leader identified as Abdullah, alias Abu Hureira, who had successfully evaded authorities for 16 years and established operational bases outside the Union Territory. The operation also netted another Pakistani terrorist, Usman alias Khubaib, marking a significant blow to the LeT’s logistical framework.

Following a series of raids at 19 locations spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Haryana, investigators recovered substantial incriminating material and uncovered a sophisticated network used to funnel financial and logistical support to active militants.

The investigation revealed that the module was supported by three Srinagar residents—Mohammad Naqeeb Bhat, Adil Rashid Bhat, and Ghulam Mohammad Mir (alias Mama)—who allegedly facilitated the movement of terrorists by providing shelter and food.

According to officials, the network’s reach was so extensive that a foreign terrorist was even able to travel abroad using forged documents and identities created through LeT assets in other Indian states.

These terrorists, who originally infiltrated India nearly 16 years ago, had remained active throughout various districts in the Kashmir Valley, at one point commanding approximately 40 foreign Terrorists most of whom have since been neutralized by security forces.

This successful bust highlights the persistent efforts of law enforcement to dismantle long-standing terror infrastructures operating across state lines.
