Kulgam SSP Convenes High-Level Joint Security Review Meeting with Army and CRPF
KULGAM, March 23, 2026 — In a strategic move to fortify the regional security apparatus, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Anayat Ali Chowdhary-IPS, chaired a comprehensive joint security review meeting today at the District Police Office (DPO) Kulgam.
The high-level session brought together top brass from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Indian Army, including commanding officers from the 18, 163, 46, and 90 Battalions of the CRPF, as well as the 9 and 34 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).
The primary objective of the gathering was to evaluate the current security landscape of the district and refine the operational synergy between the various wings of the security forces.
During the deliberations, SSP Kulgam emphasized the critical need for maintaining peak professionalism and seamless coordination during anti-terror operations and maintaining law and order.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to intelligence gathering, real-time threat assessments, and enhancing emergency response preparedness. Special attention was also directed toward the safety of the minority population in the district, with the SSP reviewing existing protocols and suggesting measures to augment their security.
The meeting concluded with a collective reaffirmation from all agencies to remain proactive and vigilant, ensuring the continued peace and stability of Kulgam through unified command and information sharing.
