JAMMU, January 19, 2026: In a proactive move to ensure the seamless conduct of upcoming national celebrations, Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, chaired a high-level security coordination meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Conference Hall today.
The meeting brought together top brass from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Intelligence Agencies to synchronize efforts for the secure and peaceful observance of Republic Day 2026.
The session focused on a comprehensive review of law and order management, security protocols, and inter-agency information sharing. A detailed presentation was delivered outlining the Republic Day-2026 deployment plan, which encompasses strategic manpower positioning, rigorous venue access control, and robust contingency measures.
Addressing the officers, IGP Bhim Sen Tuti emphasized the necessity of a heightened security posture and “seamless information sharing” to mitigate any potential threats.
Further directives were issued to the SSP Jammu and SSP Traffic City to prioritize public convenience by establishing organized parking zones and effective traffic regulation.
The IGP underscored that all law enforcement and emergency response units must maintain a state of maximum alertness to ensure the safety of both participants and spectators throughout the festivities across the Jammu region.
