Kishtwar, January 19, 2026 — The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps has intensified its search and cordoning efforts in the Son Nar region, located northeast of Chhatru, Kishtwar as part of the ongoing Operation Trashi-I.
In an official update shared via X (Twitter), the Corps confirmed that the operational perimeter has been further tightened following initial contact with terrorists.
The expansion of the search grid aims to neutralize threats hiding within the challenging terrain of the forest area.To ensure total domination of the sector, elite troops from the White Knight Corps are working in close coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Multi-layered cordons have been established around the general area of Son Nar to prevent any potential escape routes. Security forces remain heavily deployed and are maintaining high vigilance as they navigate the dense landscape to flush out hiding militants and maintain peace in the region.
