Security Forces Recover PIA-Logo Balloon in Akhnoor’s Kachriyal Border Area

JAMMU, Jan 19: Tension briefly gripped the border area of Kachriyal in the Pallanwala sector of Akhnoor tehsil on Monday morning after a toy balloon featuring the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) logo was discovered in an open field.

Local residents spotted the object and immediately alerted the authorities, prompting a swift response from the Jammu district police. Upon arriving at the scene, security personnel secured the item for a thorough inspection to determine if it posed any security risk to the sensitive border region.

Following a preliminary verification, police officials confirmed that the balloon contained no explosives, hazardous materials, or sensitive items. The object has been classified as a harmless, non-sensitive item and was taken into custody solely for routine procedural verification.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and avoid panicking, emphasizing that no threat was detected and there is currently no cause for concern regarding the find.
