LG Manoj Sinha Flags Off First Group for ‘Watan Ko Jaano’ Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program

JAMMU JANUARY 16, 2026 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today officially flagged off the inaugural group of 120 youth from the Kashmir Division as part of the “Watan Ko Jaano” Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program.

This flagship initiative is sponsored by the Ministry of Home Affairs and executed by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Jammu Kashmir under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

During the event, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with the participants, wishing them well on a journey designed to foster national integration and provide the youth of the Kashmir Valley with firsthand exposure to the country’s diverse landscape.

The current 6th edition of the program is set to involve a total of 2,000 participants, including group leaders from across the Kashmir Valley. These youth will be divided into various groups to visit 15 major cities throughout India.

The primary goal of this extensive outreach is to sensitize the participants to act as ambassadors of peace and harmony. By exploring India’s cultural, industrial, and historical landmarks, the program aims to empower the younger generation and strengthen their connection to the national identity.
