Jammu January 16, 2026 — During a high-level organizational review at the BJP Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President and Rajya Sabha Member Sat Sharma hailed the Mahila Morcha as a pivotal force in the party’s grassroots outreach.
Addressing the newly appointed office bearers of the JKUT Mahila Morcha, Sharma stated that women activists are the primary drivers of the party’s nationalist vision and people-centric governance.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women have moved from being mere “vote banks” to becoming decisive stakeholders in governance, with the BJP providing them genuine leadership and decision-making authority.
The introductory meeting, organized under the leadership of BJP Mahila Morcha President Advocate Neha Mahajan, focused on strengthening the party’s connection with families and marginalized sections of society.
Sharma called upon the activists to counter divisive politics by taking the BJP’s message of social justice and development to every household. He stressed the importance of maintaining organizational discipline from the booth level up to the state level, urging the Morcha to remain politically active and ideologically firm in its mission to empower society through the political involvement of women.
During the session, Advocate Neha Mahajan briefed the leadership on recent outreach programs and reaffirmed the wing’s commitment to social responsibility and empowerment. The meeting, which included Mahila Morcha Prabhari, district presidents, and mandal presidents from across the Union Territory, served as both a strategic review and a formal induction for the new team.
The proceedings, conducted by General Secretary Urvashi Gupta, concluded with a collective resolve to intensify monthly organizational meetings and expand the party’s presence at the grassroots level across Jammu and Kashmir.
