IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Visits NCC Republic Day Camp 2026; Urges Cadets to Serve Nation Beyond Uniform
NEW DELHI | January 8, 2026 Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 at Delhi Cantt today, where he commended the youth for their pivotal role in nation-building.
Upon his arrival, the Air Chief Marshal reviewed an impeccable ‘Guard of Honour’ featuring cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings. The ceremony was further enriched by a synchronized band display performed by girl cadets from Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani.
During his visit, the CAS also inspected the ‘Flag Area,’ which showcased various social awareness themes designed by all 17 NCC Directorates, and toured the NCC ‘Hall of Fame’ to honor the organization’s storied legacy.
Addressing the gathering, Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasized that the NCC remains the world’s largest uniformed organization, boasting over 20 lakh cadets, 40% of whom are women.
He praised the organization for shaping disciplined and patriotic citizens and specifically lauded the cadets for their active contributions during Operation Sindoor and other national initiatives. Highlighting the values of leadership and resilience, he urged the cadets to maintain a “never say die” attitude and to uphold the spirit of nationalism in all facets of life, even beyond their time in uniform.
The visit concluded with a vibrant cultural showcase, where cadets performed traditional ballets, group songs, and dances representing India’s diverse heritage.
The Air Chief Marshal congratulated the participants for their selection to the prestigious Republic Day Camp 2026, noting that their dedication reflects the bright future of India’s youth.
