BARAMULLA, January 08, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, officially flagged off a batch of 20 students for the “Bharat Darshan Tour 2026” today at the Baramulla Railway Station.
Organized by the BSF 112 Naga Battalion, the tour is designed to provide young students from the region with an immersive educational experience, showcasing the vast cultural, historical, and geographical diversity of India.
During the event, DC Minga Sherpa interacted with the enthusiastic participants, encouraging them to embrace the journey as a unique opportunity for learning beyond traditional textbooks.
He lauded the Border Security Force (BSF) for their consistent efforts in organizing such initiatives, which play a crucial role in promoting national integration and providing local youth with valuable exposure to the country’s heritage.
Commanding Officer of the BSF 112 Naga Battalion, Nakul Vaid, emphasized that the primary goal of the Bharat Darshan Mission is to foster a spirit of unity, patriotism, and mutual understanding among the younger generation.
The students, accompanied by BSF officers and escort teachers, expressed great excitement as they embarked on this journey of discovery.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the district administration, Police, and the Principal of Boys Degree College Baramulla, all of whom joined the parents in wishing the students a safe and transformative experience.
This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the security forces and the local administration toward youth engagement and holistic nation-building efforts in Jammu and Kashmir.
