Indian Army’s Swift Response Saves Life in Bandipora

Bandipora January 07,2026 :-Tanvir Ahmed Khan, son of Gulam Ahmed Khan,resident of Sumbal Bandipora was travelling in his newly purchased Swift Dzire through the Gundpura area of Bandipora when his vehicle skidded off a bridge and plunged into a nearby water stream.

The incident occurred suddenly, leaving the individual in a dangerous and distressing situation.Demonstrating presence of mind, Tanvir Ahmed Khan immediately contacted the nearby Bapura Army Camp Company Commander by taking mobile number from the locals of Gundpora.

Responding without delay, Indian Army personnel rushed to the spot with recovery vehicle and carried out a prompt rescue operation. The soldiers extended all necessary assistance to recover the vehicle from the stream.The timely intervention by the Indian Army prevented the situation from turning tragic and highlighted their readiness to serve beyond the call of duty.

Tanvir Ahmed Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Army personnel for their swift action, professionalism, and humanitarian approach.

Such acts of selfless service reinforce the trust and confidence of the local population in the Indian Army, which continues to play a vital role not only in safeguarding the nation but also in assisting civilians during emergencies across the region.
