BASANTGARH, January 6, 2026: Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, the Army Commander of the Northern Command, conducted a comprehensive high-level visit to Basantgarh to evaluate the current counter-terrorism framework and the operational readiness of the deployed units.
During the visit, the Army Commander engaged in detailed discussions with ground commanders to assess the prevailing security landscape. The deliberations centered on strengthening the existing security architecture and enhancing seamless inter-agency coordination with various stakeholders to ensure a robust defense against regional threats.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s proactive stance in maintaining a high state of vigilance across sensitive sectors.
