JAMMU, DECEMBER 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha held an insightful interaction today with a delegation of IAS Officer Trainees from the 2025 batch, who are currently visiting Jammu as part of their five-day Winter Study Tour, also known as the Bharat Darshan Programme.
These officers, currently undergoing Phase-1 training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, were briefed by the Lieutenant Governor on the core principles of effective governance and public service.
During the session, Sinha highlighted the sweeping transformational journey Jammu and Kashmir has undertaken across various sectors, offering the trainees a high-level perspective on the region’s unique administrative and developmental evolution.
The visiting group, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rakesh Minhas, represents a diverse range of cadres including Haryana, West Bengal, AGMUT, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Led by Group Leader Umesh Kumar Meena and Associate Group Leader Vidhi, the trainees are participating in a comprehensive itinerary designed to provide first-hand exposure to the region’s strategic and cultural landscape.
Their program features key visits to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, the Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, the Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, and the India-Pakistan border. This immersive experience aims to sensitize the future administrators to the complexities of governing diverse environments and to broaden their understanding of regional developmental challenges before they begin their official postings.
