“PIA” Marked Pak Balloon recovered ; Handed to Army
PARGWAL, DECEMBER 29: A Pakistani toy balloon bearing the “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines) logo was recovered this morning from an agricultural field in the border village of Gurah Manhasa, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Pargwal and Police Station Khour. The object was first spotted at approximately 09:20 AM by a local resident, who alerted authorities after finding the stray balloon nestled in his crops.
The discovery initially caused a brief moment of curiosity and caution among the villagers given the proximity to the International Border.Following the protocol for cross-border aerial objects, the balloon was secured by the Police and subsequently handed over to the Indian Army for a detailed inspection. Security personnel conducted a thorough search of the balloon and the immediate vicinity where it landed.
After a close examination, officials confirmed that no suspicious items, electronic devices, or messages were attached to the object.
