Police Raid Multiple Spa Centers; FIR Registered Over Illegal Activities

JAMMU, DECEMBER 28: Taking decisive action against reported illicit operations, the Jammu South Zone Police conducted a series of simultaneous surprise raids at various spa centers in the Channi Himmat area today.

The operation was launched following a wave of public complaints from civil society regarding alleged illegal and immoral activities taking place within these establishments. Led by the SHO of Police Station Channi Himmat and supported by lady police officials and an Executive Magistrate, the teams carried out comprehensive inspections across several locations within the East Sub-Division to ensure compliance with the law.

During the coordinated crackdown, police teams scrutinized business registers and documentation, while also seizing Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and other incriminating materials from suspicious sites for forensic analysis. In a significant development, authorities have detained several individuals for questioning to determine the extent of the alleged violations.

Consequently, FIR No. 237/2025 has been registered at the Channi Himmat Police Station under Section 24 of the Immigration Act/Foreigners Act and Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), suggesting potential violations related to foreign nationals and regulatory non-compliance.

The entire operation was conducted under the direct supervision of SDPO East and SP City South, with overall monitoring by SSP Jammu. Local residents and netizens have widely praised the police for their proactive stance in addressing community concerns and maintaining public order. Officials have stated that further investigations are underway to uncover if these establishments are part of a wider organized network.

Jammu Police reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a safe and lawful environment, warning that strict action will continue against any business found flouting legal and ethical norms.
