Jammu South Zone Police Bust Major Theft Ring; Six Stolen Two-Wheelers Recovered

JAMMU, DECEMBER 28: In a major success against property crime, the Jammu South Zone Police has dismantled an active vehicle theft network, recovering more than six stolen two-wheelers.

The operation, spearheaded by the Gangyal Police Station, comes as a significant breakthrough following a recent spike in vehicle thefts reported across various sectors of the city. Under the leadership of SSP Jammu and the strategic guidance of SP South and SDPO South, a dedicated crackdown was initiated to identify and neutralize the criminal elements targeting public property.

The recovery was made possible through the intensive efforts of a specialized team led by PSI Atta-ur-Rehman. The team utilized a combination of traditional fieldwork, pattern analysis, and advanced technical inputs to track the suspects. Following a series of coordinated raids at several suspected hideouts used for concealing illicit property, the police successfully retrieved high-value motorcycles and scooters linked to multiple FIRs registered at various police stations.

This proactive intervention has been hailed as a vital step in restoring public confidence and curbing the activities of organized theft syndicates in the region.Senior officials stated that the investigation is currently in its active phase, with the recovered vehicles being processed for return to their rightful owners.

Police authorities have emphasized that this operation serves as a stern warning to criminal networks, reaffirming that the Jammu Police remains vigilant and committed to safeguarding public assets 24/7.

Further arrests and additional recoveries are anticipated as the special teams continue to follow leads generated during the initial phase of the investigation.
