Infrastructure Boost for Reasi: Sakeena Itoo Unveils New Academic Block at GDC Pouni to Transform Rural Education
REASI, DECEMBER 27, 2025 – In a major step toward bridging the urban-rural educational divide, Minister for Education, Health and Medical Education, and Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo, officially inaugurated a newly constructed Academic Block at the Government Degree College (GDC) Pouni in Reasi district. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve as a cornerstone for higher education in the region, featuring modern classrooms and lecture halls specifically tailored to enhance teaching-learning outcomes. During the ceremony, the Minister emphasized that strengthening infrastructure in remote areas is central to the Government’s mission of ensuring equitable access to quality education.
