JAMMU, December 27: The Traffic Police City Jammu has issued a comprehensive travel advisory in view of the “Run for Unity Jammu Marathon-2025” scheduled for Sunday, December 28, 2025. To facilitate the mega sporting event organized by the J&K Police, significant traffic diversions will be enforced from 05:00 AM until the marathon’s expected conclusion at 11:00 AM.
Movement will be restricted along the primary route, which starts and finishes at Gulshan Ground, passing through key points such as PHQ Main Gate, Qasim Nagar, and NH-44 near the Bajalta Crossing. Southbound vehicles heading toward Bagh-e-Bahu will be diverted from Bikram Chowk toward Dogra Chowk and Gujjar Nagar Bridge, while LMVs from Nagrota must use the Manda route instead of Sidhra.
Additionally, commuters from Kunjwani and Channi Himmat will be redirected at Narwal toward B.R. Ambedkar Chowk. The public is advised to plan their journeys accordingly and contact the Traffic Control Unit (TCU) Jammu at 0191-2459048 for real-time assistance.
